My "Dark" Past...

Hey, it's Ben

Happy Sunday.

There's a lot of noise and excitement in the world right now but this email is not political.

Whatever happens out in the world or on the news is often a distraction from important issues in our personal lives.

It's easy to lash out or get worked up when you have emotional wounds or personal problems that seem almost hopeless in your own life.

I know this from personal experience... I've been that guy.

For a lot of my early 20's I was deeply unhappy.

I felt lost and discouraged a lot of the time.

Some days (a lot of days) I thought things would never get better.

But eventually they did.

Much better.

It's a long story that I won't get into here... I made a lot of lifestyle changes and did a lot of deep work on myself.

Back then I told myself that if I ever got out of that anxiety and depression that I would always go back to help other people so they could get out of it too.

Sometimes I forget about that commitment.

But recently I've had a few big reminders.

I know lot of people are struggling on a daily basis, with all kinds of issues.

And I don't have all the solutions.

But I do have something else that can help you find your solution.

And that is a simple word of encouragement.

Do not give up, do not give in to discouragement, do not stop looking for answers, do not stop attempting to solve your problems.

There is healing, there is hope, there is a light at the end of the tunnel even if you can't see it right now.

Take radical responsibility for yourself. Ask for help, seek resources and stories from other people who have overcome similar issues.

(I recommend going on youtube and searching how other people solved "x" problem).

Hearing other people share their journeys through difficulty was a massive source of hope and encouragement for me.

There's a quote from a business dude I follow and he says,

"We need to be reminded more than we need to be taught"

This is true for business but is also true for personal healing and development.

We need to be reminded every day:

Things will get better.

You are worth it.

You do have the power to create change.

There is more.

You will get through this.

The story does not end here.

I guess that's all.

One email can't fix peoples problems but I hope it encourages you to keep on going.

I am rooting for you.

Much love,

Ben

P.S. Yes this is still The Tallowed Truth newsletter lol, but sometimes there are more important things to talk about than our premium tallow products;)
