The Butter and Face Whip are both "whipped" and have tallow but have completely different formulas making them different products with different textures.

The F-Balm products are generally quite thick whereas the Freedom Face Whips are a light cream consistency.

The F-Balms products offer the healing benefits of honey and beeswax, which help fade scars, sooth sores and raw skin, and gently acts as a microbial to kill bacteria and fungi. Honey and beeswax do make for a denser product!

The Face Whip is much lighter so quickly absorbs without much rubbing but doesn't have those bee benefits. It's a good choice if you want the tallow benefits in a light, luxurious, easy to use day and night cream!

The F-balm is safe for babies (over 12 months) and children; it's generally recommended you avoid any topical honey products for infants under 12 months, so we defer to parental knowledge on this! We'd suggest our Unscented Face Whip for your little little one. If you're using any of the F-Balms on your baby/child, we do recommend patch testing with a small amount of the balm to ensure there are no sensitivities before using it regularly. If your baby/child is sensitive to scents and oils, you may prefer using the Unscented F-Balm or Unscented Freedom Face Whip.

F-Balm is made from natural ingredients, and while it may have a mild natural scent due to its tallow base, it is generally not overpowering. The tallow we use is triple-filtered which takes away much of the “beefy” smell that you may have experienced with other tallow brands.

Yes, F-Balm can be integrated into your existing skincare routine. Apply it after serums and before sunscreen during the day or as the final step in your evening routine.

Here’s how we’d use F-Balm with makeup:

- First, warm a small amount of the Balm between your fingers. Add a drop of water if you find it's a little thick.

-Apply the F-Balm as your moisturiser (after any serums, ect, if using) and massage it in. 

-Let it rest for a few minutes to absorb into your skin. Then go ahead with your makeup, using the F-Balm as a moisturising primer to prevent the foundation from going into your pores and to give you a glowy finish!

F-Balm: The longevity of a tin of F-Balm depends on individual usage, but a little goes a long way. On average, a tin can last several months. The shelf life is at least 12 months; it can be used after this, but it is recommended to use it within that timeframe for optimal efficacy.

S-Balm: S-Balm has a shelf life of 6-12 months. The S-Balm will melt in hot weather so we suggest keeping it out of direct sunlight. Colour may vary from white to yellow because of natural properties.

Yes, they can!

While we can’t guarantee anything, many customers have said that the F-Balm and Body Butter have made a huge positive difference with these skin conditions. For eczema, we recommend the Body Butter or Freedom Face Whip, based on your preference for ingredients!

The Body Butter is whipped and has a much lighter consistency than the Balm, so it does not need much rubbing to apply. Its bee ingredients make it extremely healing for scars and discolouraton, and soothing for skin irritations and raw skin.

Want something even more simple?? The Face Whips are even lighter than the Balms but don't offer those same bee benefits.

We always recommend doing a small patch test before a full application to ensure there are no product sensitivities. If that goes well, then you can go ahead with a full application! 

When opened, keep the F-Balm in a room-temperature place! As long as it doesn’t get too hot (it might melt) or too cold (it will be harder to spread), it’s easily spreadable and should absorb pretty quickly, leaving the skin moisturised but not greasy. You can store unopened tins in a cool, dry place till you’re ready to use them!
