Okay happy Friday,
It's Ben this time
And happy first day of May.
Peter has been sending some emails about robins and baby birds which is lovely but unfortunately, this spring isn't all sunshine and rainbows.
If you haven't heard it's tick season and they little buggers are out in record numbers.
But thats not the worst of it...
This is going to sound like fear mongering and it sort of is lol, but this is worth saying.
It appears there are record numbers of ticks this year, and a video of a dead moose absolutely covered in ticks has been going viral... I won't share the picture cause it's kinda gruesome...
But the scary part is a lot of these ticks spread Lyme disease, or potentially worse, the "red meat allergy disease" called Alpha-gal syndrome (AGS)
Now I'm not gonna start addressing the reasons this is all happening or get into the conspiracy theories - hello Bill Gates and hello scheduled Pvizor Lyme vaccine - okay now I'm doing it -
But anyways, for now, just a quick heads up and also a little "tick guide" I put together for how to make sure these little bio weapon buggers don't turn you into a vegan with Lyme disease.
I added the part with Chickens cuz my friend told me that.
Overall this it's good but it turned a bit too "covidy" for my liking, and maybe watch out for all the toxic bug sprays it recommends as well.
I hate rules and I hate people telling me what to do, so you can also just ignore this if you want, but it seems like the main thing is just to check for ticks after being outside for a while and if you do get one, don't panic cause you have a few hours before any real risk sets in.
