Worried about putting fat on your face?
Don’t be. The right kind of fat on your face doesn’t cause pimples. Tallow is remarkably close to the oils your skin makes on its own.
But does it smell like beef?
No. Our tallow is triple purified to remove the beefy smell. F-Balm has a soft, subtle and slightly sweet smell with hints of honey, beeswax and frankincense.
Will it feel greasy?
Not when it’s applied right. Warm a pea-sized amount between your fingers and press it into clean, damp skin. If it feels sticky or greasy, you’re using too much or need a little more water.
Is it OK for sensitive skin?
Lots of our customers have sensitive, dry or patchy skin and say it’s made a huge difference. Patch-test a small area first, especially if you’re sensitive to bee products, and check with your doctor if you’re managing a skin condition. For very sensitive skin, start with Unscented F-Balm.
Can I use it with my other skincare or makeup?
Yes. It’s the last “cream” step: after serums and before sunscreen in the morning, or last thing at night. Under makeup, let it sink in for 5–10 minutes first.
How long does a tin last?
A little goes a long way… but lots of people end up using it on their whole body, and plenty of family members start using it too. Generally speaking, a tin will last a month. For some people it’s shorter, and for others it’s much longer. You’ll find your groove!

My wife first started using the original tallow and eventually talked me into trying it as my hands were like sandpaper. My hands were so dry they actually hurt. I reluctantly tried some and after a few days my hands were much smoother. We were chosen to sample lavender scented tallow and orange scented tallow. I tried both and can confidently say that both were just as excellent as the original tallow. The scents are not overwhelming, they are subtle and can be used by both men and women. Although I prefer the original, I highly recommend any of the tallows. The soap and lip balm are excellent too!!
